Can I make chew out of smoking tobacco (golden Virginia)?

So I've done a fair amount of research about how to make dip, my only problem is my lack of access to plain grown tobacco. Chew is also not sold/allowed to import where I am. Just curious If this is a possibility for me, any tips on how I can do this?

Welcome to the forum. Feel free to introduce yourself with a thread in the Introduce Yourself section of the forum.

The key threads section will have threads on making chew.

You can make chew out of any tobacco, but if you make it out of Virginia gold, it won't taste like, or have the same kick as what you're used to. I don't chew but I taste it once in a while, and I'm my opinion it will taste good.

Are you familiar with www.wholeleaftobacco.com? If your country allows the import you are in good shape. You can also grow a few plants yourself in pots on a porch or balcony if you don’t have access to arable soil. Seed are available through

This is a bit late, my apologies.
Late one night I was really wanting a pipe. I had had my nose burried in a tin of Klondike Gold Virginia flake and in my enjoyment of that, popped a half a flake in my mouth. I can tell you it was delicious, maybe not the nicotine jolt you're looking for, but I think there is some simple chemistry you can perform to enhance that.
