Most of you don't know this, but in February, the Ohio Department of taxation charged me with three crimes related to the sale of whole leaf tobacco. I had to hire a good lawyer, but it was worth it.

Some of you have offered to make a donation to help with defense costs, but I'd much rather give you something for your money. If you've been thinking about making a purchase from the Whole Leaf Tobacco site, now would be a much needed and appreciated

Probably would never happen, but IMO, wrongfully accused means that the accuser should have to pay your incurred expenses it took to defend yourself.

i know in ct. you are guilty until proven innocent if it has anything to do with the state. i am glad they didn't get to interpret the tax laws the way they wished they were. i am glad to see a honest business man that follows the rules didn't get screwed by the

What was their basic complaint? Not paying taxes on a 'tobacco product' that turns out was an AG product?

I didn't like how the FDA roughed up some whole leaf sellers over their websites. A bunch of garbage. Call a leaf 'smooth and mild' and they think you mean it is 'safe and doesn't cause cancer'. Jeezus.
