I had no idea there was a "Nature and Astronomy" section on here. Excellent!! I honestly did not know the term for the point where an object is closest to what it's orbiting around in an elliptical orbit is called a perigee and I have a BS in physics, so thanks for that! Is that term only used when referring to things elliptically revolving around earth? Also, on a side note, I was looking at some books I was interested in reading ,and I may read "Counterspell: The Second Law". Looks interesting.There are apparently about a dozen "live stream" tracking channels of this on Youtube. There is a lot of inconsistent info. Apparently, since the orbit is elliptical with respect to Earth's atmosphere, each approach to the low point (perigee) is an opportunity for it to get terminally snagged, and each perigee when that does not occur seems to reset the projected re-entry time.
