First harvest, feel free to tease! (Does it matter what time of day when priming?)

Having a small amount of A hort back round I have seen preferences when collecting cuttings, scion wood or when doing divisions on root plants early morning.

Is there a preferred time to harvest tobacco?

It is usually suggested to harvest in the morning, after the leaves have dried from the night dew.

What varieties are you harvesting? By stalk or by priming separate leaves?

I am single leaf harvesting.

My ideal time would be late afternoon. Work schedule not being conducive to my harvest....

What issues would I have if I late day harvest my leaves?

In harvesting a field of tobacco, there can be concern about excessive wilting occurring before you can get it to the shed. For most home growers, it doesn't matter much. And as @Alpine pointed out, avoid harvesting wet tobacco.

Forgot: Harvesting 12 large plants of Corojo and Havana. Tucked in back I also grew 3 nice barley (have to look at tag for exact cultivar).
