Golden Burley Tobacco Stalk

Hi I have saved the stalks of the two Golden Burley plants I grew. I read online that the stalks have nicotine in them too. I’m a big believer of trying to use the whole plant and not let anything go to waste. I was looking everywhere to find info about what to do with my tobacco stalks. I read that in Sweden they powder the stalks and use it for snus. I’m very interested in this and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to make a snus using tobacco stalk. Would be interesting even if I just experimented with it. Thank you guys for being such a fantastic resource on this stuff.

I know that stems (central vein of the leaf) are sometimes ground, then blended with ground leaf lamina to make snus. The stems do have nicotine, though at a lower concentration than the lamina. Have a look at the threads in our smokeless forum.

Thank you Bob! Will do. Must’ve read that the stems were ground up for snus. I saved my stems as well so that might be a possibility. I will research into the smokeless tobacco threads. Thank you once again!
