Wife got me a rolling kit for Christmas. I know, it’s from Leaf Only. This will get me started and practicing before my PABL that I grew is ready to use. Just need a chaveta
and a large cutting board. Been watching videos posted on here. Great stuff. Will update once i roll a couple. Will probably do a couple freehand first no mold or maybe just a paper mold and see how close I get to the right size for the mold that was included. Will save some to put a PABL wrapper and/or binder on.

I saw that kit while I was looking for information or tobacco leaves. I was so impressed that I would have given anything to be able to buy it. Someone from L.O. suggested to me to consult the local legislation, regarding tobacco, of course, the law does not allow .... I have an acquaintance at the Customs Directorate, I asked him to "do something". The answer was short, almost threatening - Do not play with the law. I resigned. Then I discovered FTT, and all that tobacco cultivation / processing means, then I discovered NWT, a bunch of seeds there. What do I need from the LO kit? However, I sigh when I see that box ...

Great gift the wife got you there! I started with that box myself. I used the 2 slot wooden mold with some clamps to start. However, when I wanted to bind up more than 2, I used 1”-2” newspaper strips to mold. A year in and I haven’t used a traditional chaveta yet myself. I use a pizza cutter and a Mezzaluna Knife. Adding humidity/ raising the “case” of the leaf, I started with plastic grocery bags and spritzing with distilled water.

Welcome and enjoy! Make sure to take pics!

It seems strange you would post this thread knowing it is the one leaf seller trying to compete with whole leaf tobacco that is connected to fair trade tobacco.
Almost as if you are trying to push buttons. Or, it is as if you asked the head honcho for permission to do it.
Why would you not post this thread in botl instead?

No I’m really not trying to push any buttons. Got this as a gift. I didn’t go out and buy this then post it here. Just excited to try rolling. I haven’t been posting on BOTL lately. Someone can take it down if they are that offended.

Yeah, I didn't really think so. I found you as basically apologizing for posting LO here. thought I'd ask. I thought you had been farther in rolling for some reason. I'm sure glad you are getting farther into rolling though.

For what its worth, I tried LO before WLT and once I tried WLT I never went back. You have just enough to get a taste, when you go back for more check out Don's stuff at WLT and you wont regret it I can guarantee you that!

Enjoy the wonderful rabbit hole that is tobacco! Once you get started it wont be long before you have a personal collection.

Don's leaf at wlt is all i have tried but i was quite pleased. The blend i got was a tad spicy for my tastes but was good. I would try something a bit different next time. My seed starting mix is on the way! Thank goodness for amazon prime! The only other places I found to order, the cost of shipping was more than the mix bit its free with prime! Take that haha!
