Honeydew/soot

Aphids. Didn't think they'd be a problem, but I should have knocked them off sooner. I brushed the leaves after priming them but a little bit of dew/soot got smeared around.
Is a little residue ok, or will this lead to mold and/or poor quality leaf? Should I remove the affected areas of leaf after curing?

If I first notice aphids on a leaf immediately after priming it, I usually just smear away the aphids with my fingertips. I don't recall any subsequent issues during curing.

I always hose my leaves down straight after harvest in the morning and then hang them in the shade for a few hours to dry before hanging them in my shed to cure and dry properly. This way I get rid of nearly all the pests on them.

I do the same, I hose them off while green, either while on the plant or immediately after harvest before they wilt. If I don't do this, I wait until they are brown and dry and gently brush the stuff off with a paint brush.
