I recently bought wholesale Virginia tobacco leaves, I'm used to buy just a bag of tobacco Virginia in the local market, it is already processed and ready to smoke, but I wanted to try with leaves and treat them, found a shop and the leaves are already dried and treated, they just need to be grounded, or so I was told... Did that and the result is tobacco too dry and strong in smell and taste, I would like to be like the one I usually buy, but don't know hot to do it, does anyone has advice on how to proceed? Thanks.(sorry if this post comes out as tangled).

Is the leaf tobacco brown or yellow?

You might first try placing the tobacco into a plastic bag or tub, and lightly misting it with water. Then leave it sealed overnight, to see if just adding moisture makes it milder. Commercially bagged tobacco may be treated with humectants, such as glycerin or propylene glycol, which alters its combustion and taste.
