im in need of some burley seeds,

but i know thier is some elaborate strains out there,

My cigar tobacco I got last year did very poorly out here, need one strain that will strive good out here.
This is the tobacco strain for the virginia strain, ( Nisqually grown virginia tobacco).

I grew Burley and Maryland 609 side by side this year . 2 acres of each . The Maryland was alot better looking tobacco than the Burley .

Now as for the burley part . The Maryland will have a green stalk while my burley has the cream / white stalk .
Maryland can not take sun very long without sun burnning the leaves and leaving them green . While Burley can take the sun and not burn and turn green , or at least the green comes out easy in burley .

No, MD 609 is a Maryland variety and Burley is a Burley variety. They are different.

It's a shame we can't come up with a list of characteristics and reclassify all tobacco so it makes sense. At least only a couple states made their own classifications.
