Hi guys, i've been doing a lot of research on what type of tobacco to grow for dip. Little crittenden dark air keeps coming up because of it air curing very well. I would guess it would be tough to do a fire cure at home in a DIY fashion. Am I on the right track? Anyone here make dip with straight little crittenden and have it turn out well?

Thank you, men. I do really appreciate the knowledge here.

Simplest fire-curing at home is a steel trash can (with holes in the bottom) rested on top of a fire pit or smoker. The thread below is about Latakia, but if you simply use deciduous hardwood to produce the smoke, you get fire-cured flavor. Any dark air-cured or dark fire-cured variety can be used.
