I have an issue with my tomatoes. There leaves are dying pretty fast. I found weird growth on the underside of the leaf. This pictures doesn't show it all there is depth to the growth. Under my microscope it looked like cloudy balls that made up the growths. Any ideas of what might be happening? Here is a bad picture but it is as good as I can get

Most likely a virus. Pull all the infected leaves an put them in a garbage can. A little late or early for mators.

They are indoors. As I looked all 6 tomatoes have it on almost every leaf so I pulled them all out and burned them. I just am wondering what it was and will it spread to my other plants. I guess time will tell I just hate not knowing

All of the leaves on the tomatoes were infected. The top of the leaves have little divots or depressions where the growths are on the bottom of the leaves

I think delux got it right it looks like mold. This is caused by overwatering typically with high humidity poor air circulation and warm temps. My advice is to water less. This will really help them out. Also by watering less if it is a nutrient issue you will make the situation better giving your plant time to recover...typically the potting soil from big box retailers is full of mold and bugs and has huge ph problems. I would recommend a great mix called sunshine mix 4 the organic that is amazing and peat based but you would have to get it form a grow shop or higher end retailer.

This is an aquaponics garden. I am now after some tiny mites I noticed yesterday. I haven't added anything other than iron and bugs for fish to eat and this system has been running for several years with not to many nutrient deficiencies.

So I have a great trick for spider mites. If you are growing under a light put a stick or dowel touching the stalk of the plant that extends above the plant and is closer to the light. The mites will crawl up on the stick and mostly off your plant to be closer to the light. Other options are neem, soapy water, no pest strips or azamax. Some are sprays others are drench sprays. D
