Just a couple of the latest cigars I've rolled. I actually put a pinch or two of some flavored pipe tobacco that I had made into the smaller of the two cigars...turned out really nice. The larger one smoked really great, but about half way through it developed a soft area. This smoked well, but wasn't rolled probably I guess.

The cigar box was made from the same cedar tree that I had cut down and slabbed to build my house. Nothing fancy, but works well.

Living of the land and with your tribe, sound like a good guy. Nice looking cigars and box. I've got some cedar I'm considering doing this with this winter

Nice looking work. If it keeps cigars the way YOU like and the smokes are good for YOU then you have total success. We get to look at a lot of esoteric and successful stuff that is way beyond me. KISS and if it works for you -- Excellent.

I once rode an elephant into a clearing of "illegal immigrants" in the Lanna Kingdom. They were refugees from Burma if I remember. They made nice green hand made cigars, and we all smoked um. As I was puffing it I thought, "sh#t, here I am in the Golden Tryangle, I hope this is just tobacco!" I've got a pic of me smoking the stogie in the back of a land rover, if I can find it I'll use it in my profile.

Howdy & Welcome JMG!

Nice looking cigars and humidor! The ash looks nice and toothy! Was it a spicy smoke? If you get a chance, grab some seed and donate it to the Forum seed bank.

Again Welcome!

Seed arrangements have been made, but the seed will not be available until May 2014. Interested members living in a sub-tropical climate, and willing to bag and pass-on the seed, may have an opportunity to grow the Hewa leaf in 2014.

"Toothy" suggest a Sumatra variant. Since we don't really know what it is, and it is not a variety that GRIN is likely to have acquired, it will be named:

jmg - Hewa Papua.
