Hi - I made a profile about 2 years ago and have been reading up here and in Bob’s books since.

I realized today that I haven’t gotten around to saying hello yet!

I have an apartment grown 3 plant crop of yendige I’ll post pictures of eventually.

Currently seeing what I can make work since I have no outdoor space in Brooklyn.
The current plants are:
Japan8
Little Dutch
Trabzon
Harrow Velvet

I understand the last two are shots in the dark.

Looking forward to chatting with you.

Belated welcome.

I don't know much about Japan 8. @skychaser lists it as a "dark air-cured" class, but also says it is an Oriental. It is not listed in ARS-GRIN, but @polygon55 lists it as a sun-cured Oriental.

A beautiful growing oriental with long narrow leaves and white flowers. Germany. Medium late. My aging period is 80 days. The bush is about 1.5 m high. The shape of the plant is cone-shaped. The flower is white. Leaf with a narrow neck, dark green, leaf blade narrow. The number of leaves is 24-26, the length of the middle leaf is 36 cm, width - 10.0 cm. The raw materials are dark brown in color with a slight licorice aroma. Suitable for pipe mixtures and hookah.
Aromatic type Aromatic
Precocity Medium late (73-81 days)
Aging (days) 73-81
Number of tobacco leaves 24-26
Sheet size (10 sheet) 36x10 cm
Processing method Solar drying Vyzhka
2019

Either of your Orientals (Trabzon or Japan 8) should blend well with either Little Dutch (a cigar variety) or with Harrow Velvet (a burley), for pipe blending.
