It has taken a lot of work, but I've finally been able to convince a producer to hand harvest AND cure the leaf the way I wanted it. I have to tell you...this is some dang nice leaf. It's super smooth with tremendous flavor smoked straight. It has a terrific aromatic room note reminiscent of a cased pipe tobacco. While smoking, you'll pick up notes of cherry, licorice and caramel. No casing has been applied to this either.

I've never tasted tobacco like this before. Take advantage of the free shipping too.

Wow, Don, that's pretty. I loved the first batch of red leaf straight up in a pipe and mixed with bright leaf in my cigarette blends. It really added a nice taste. This is better tasting? I can't wait.

It's listed as Virginia Red Leaf on the old site...haven't listed it on the new site yet. I'm not selling any of the old stuff anymore unless someone really wants it.

Sorry, I don't know the variety name.

This also sounds nice. Guess I gotta have some of this to.
You should have yours tomorrow (USPS)

I found the old stuff very tasty , how is the new variety compared to old one
I think it's better, but taste is a matter of...taste ;)

The one big difference is this new crop is hand harvested, so the leaves are near complete and not the matted mess the mechanically harvested stuff was.

One little trick to this new stuff is to use it in medium-low case. I smoked some that was dry (which you never really want to do with any tobacco) and it was much harsher.

Thanks Matty, Your orders will be in the mail before noon tomorrow. Canadian customs has been getting better at processing whole leaf. You should have your tobacco within a week.

That sounds like a great deal Don. A little care with leaf goes a long way when processing. Can't wait till I'm ready make my next order although I'm knee deep in homegrown. Every bodys is different. And quite often better.

This looks and smells really nice. I can hardly wait to get into it

I just added some to my shopping cart. I'll be ordering the cigar wrapper and filler samplers for my brother in law's Christmas pretty soon. I'm going to get myself some of this Red Leaf and Corojo wrapper. The Corojo I sampled was awesome, it's right up there with the Maduro as far as my tastes go.
