Nicaragua Excursion

I truly wish we could all convene one day, bring our gear, and watch each other roll. That would be a terrific way to learn new tricks. Problem is we're such a far-flung group. Have to find a host in KC or Wichita, and there's prolly few who would travel that far. If only more of you owned beemer motorcycles we could make it work. Those guys will roll halfway across country at the drop of a helmet.

Lemme think about this.....

My idea is that we all travel together in some Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Cuba,... one day. FTT winter convention. For two weeks after our season finishes. Let say next year, so we have enough time to organize such a thing. I have never been to Nicaragua and I would like to share this trip with FTT colleagues.

This is a great idea and hope it happens but I wouldn't be able to attend until say maybe in year 2025 when my two children are older and more self sufficient.
Wife will not let me leave her with two toddlers and I wouldn't want that either.

Danli in Honduras is only 1.5 hours driving from Estelli in Nicaragua.
These are the two centers for the tobacco growing/ rolling cigars.

This is a great idea and hope it happens but I wouldn't be able to attend until say maybe in year 2025 when my two children are older and more self sufficient.
Wife will not let me leave her with two toddlers and I wouldn't want that either.

It's only 56 hours from me.

Maybe FmGrowit can charter (or purchase) a bus in Ohio, and pick up BigBonner and me along the way, gather the folks from Georgia, Alabama, Mississipi and Louisiana. Then, if there's still room, I suppose some Texans could be allowed on. The trip down should be long enough to complete the first two or three Pimsleur or Rosetta Spanish Language courses. By the time we arrive, we'll be telling jokes in Spanish, and singing 99 botellas de cervesa en la pared.
