Hey All, I ran across this seed on Etsy.com... Anyone have an idea as to what variety of plant this is?

Same seller on ebay. Norma Chocolate name was due to the color. The description supports Bob's idea that the name is made up. They state nicotiana tobacum but no class or variety.

I would recommend starting with known seed from www.northwoodseeds.com. He is a member here and his germination rates are tested in a lab.

The only "chocolate" tobacco variety that is legitimate (to my knowledge) is an ornamental variety (non-smokable) of Nicotiana alata, usually known as "Bronze Queen".

Random growers "invent" names for random tobacco all the time.
