Ok I just got bought a vintage nut and bolt style Nimrod Pipe lighter on a popular auction site. The description says it does no spark, no fuel, basically as/26.oo included shipping. Later today another auction ended on one that has all literature and packaging in A1 brand new condition, auction end it went for 23.50usd from a Goodwill store, on Cbay.
Just my luck, I thought there would be a reserve on a museum quality piece. 23.50 I don't know how to type a crying emoji!

I'm sort of bummed out, o well. The Nimrod I bought, has the flint spring/screw missing, but as far as I read I think they would be relatively standard, even interchangeable between zipp's and Nimrod's?, I'm not sure. Im mechanically inclined so I think I will get it going pretty quick. It has shipped today from the west coast so I won't have it for another 6 days possibly. Atleast I didn't pay more than the museum quality piece went for, also I like a used/worn patina. The other one was still polished and had a shiny faux-leather (means fake leather). Dang it was nice, I could try and kick my own ASS, for not watching it, I bid 20 and it sold for 23.50+3.95shipping. It looked like brand new, the antique receipt I think said like $1 purchase price.

Does anyone know of a website that has parts for antique NIMROD PIPElighters for sale, besides Amazon?

Rob

This would be the lit position if I had fluid.

Adjustable flame by opening/closing the vent. Open position, most oxygen.

Vent closed. More windproof, smaller flame.
