Well over half of my first grow this year is colour curing and/or drying. My second grow is mostly in 3 gallon grow bags now, so I thought, why not have a third grow and see if I can get some sort of three grow cycle going. That would give me fifty to sixty plants a year.
A new set of seeds have just germinated, so I'll see how it goes. I think I'll have to buy a few more grow bags, but that's about all.

Hi success rate with germination. I wish I had a piece of land, as I could easily grow enough for all year round smoking.

I must admit that I get a chuckle every time I read one of your posts. I’m dyslexic, so when I see your posts my brain moves the ”s” in your screen name so I see “old fellas in pain”. Then the intrusive thoughts kick in and think “I wonder if he’s seen a doctor yet? His avatar looks like he has a tooth ache”. Finally the logical part of my brain kicks in and shouts “it’s old fella IN SPAIN”. Then I feel silly for having an entire argument with myself inside my head, so I skulk away and play ball with the dogs. They’ve been getting a lot of exercise lately

Now I can't see my own screen name without thinking "old fellas in pain". What have you done GreenDragon.
Yesterday I decided to thin the seedlings to 3 or 4 per cell as the tray looked pretty crowded. I give them a light spray each morning, but the tray feels light, so today I'll give it a bottom water

Final thinning out on this 2024, 3rd grow seedlings. The problem is, so many seedlings looked good and, I don't like discarding a plant that looks like it is going to do well. My friends that smoke, don't have any interest in growing their own tobacco, so I can't even give seedlings away. (They think I'm a bit of an oddity, as tobacco is pretty cheap here in Spain).

To give smokers plants- it tends not to work.
Give them to old Ladies who are into gardening. They can take good care of them. I’ve given away dozens of seedlings with instructions. The
Problem with old lady gardeners is they want to see flowers. So it’s best to give them orientals, if you want to help them “ clear away the old leaves”

Just over three weeks since germination. Slow but steady growth on a windowsill, seems to work better for me than using lights. Bottom watered yesterday with 1/4 strength liquid fertilizer. A daily light spray with just water to keep to top of the cells moist. Ten KY17 and ten Spectrum.
