Here you go some pictures of my 2021 grow. (I hope).

View attachment 34955 Cat Face spider. It's only the second one I have ever seen, very elusive. See you later.
Here are some pics of my grow.

Jiffy pots .jpg as you can see in pic 4 the late planting doesn't seem to bother them.
imagejpeg_2(2).jpgThese ones are a bit of a worry. They are supposed to be Lizard Tail Orinoco but don't look right. I have planted them in buckets so if it is a disease it won't spread to the healthy plants. We will watch and see, its the first time I've had a problem with seeds from North West so maybe I just got somthing wrong.
Cheers

Hi Knucklehead, might be Frenching, but funny that it has only affected these 3 plants. I will go through my old blogs and see if I can find something like it.
Cheers Oldfella
Yep found it, 1 V.G. plant in my 2019 grow. I chopped off the main stem and left a good sucker to take over. Problem solved I lost sight of it as looked like all the others. We'll try that and see what happens.
Cheers

Hi guys sorry about being a bit slow to update but I'm stuck in hospital learning to walk again.
Getting there slowly, I can stand with only a little bit of assistance. Enough of that now, maybe I should rename this blog, "Oldfellas from my bed grow" My daughter is doing all the work. I can't wait to get home, but until I am mobile again I'm stuck with it.
Anyway here's a few pics of the grow ✨
imagejpeg_2~2.jpg imagejpeg_2(9).jpg imagejpeg_2(14).jpg

imagejpeg_2(2).jpgimagejpeg_2.jpg This one's got me puzzled, it came from a new pack of Lizard Tail Orinoco. I'll let it grow in the pot for now, and see what happens.
PSX_20200102_164605.jpg 20200102_174017_0000.png This what I did to a V.G. plant one year and it grew into healthy plant until I was unable to make it out from all the others. If anyone has a clue what it is feel free to jump in.
Catch you later

Hi guys a couple pics of my late grow.

imagejpeg_2(6).jpg Not as good as they usually are, but I must not growel as I have been directing from my hospital bed. Should be able to go home soon as I'm walking with assistance now.
imagejpeg_2(5).jpg Has anyone cured and smoked an ornamental tobacco? This is Jasmine and I thought I might try it. It smells really nice so if I can't smoke it maybe I can make air freshener with it, must be good for something. Cheers Oldfella

Hi guys. Daunting Daughter noticed that the bugs seemed to like the Jasmine, so maybe it can be planted to keep them away from the others.
imagejpeg_2.jpg Not a very good picture but you can see the rows alongside don't seem as bug chewed. I think that I will try it. My main bugs are the catapillers of the white butterflies. They are easily controlled whith a Tomato insecticide, maybe I just get more chickens.

My facetious recommendation was addressing the issue of the impact of intentionally placing an herbivore insect attractant close to your tobacco. I found some years ago that when I hung up Japanese Beetle traps (with attractant bait), they always attracted lots of Japanese Beetles, but had no impact on the Japanese Beetles that were eating my grape vines. My conclusion is that attractants attract.

Maybe I should just give them to someone I don't like, or just plant them on the river bank which is well away from my baccy. By the way Bob l realized what you meant by the bears. We have a lot of Monarch butterflies here and when they have eaten all of their favorite food they will eat almost anything to survive. Pretty things they are though.:)
