I just received some Ottoman seeds from Don (new member seeds). Is there anything special I should know about growing, curing, etc. this type of seed? Thanks in advance. Ken

Ottoman is considered by many to be a semi-Oriental. It is a full-size plant that seems to be very productive. So, nothing special.

I had my ottoman spaced 24" centers last year and will move closer to 18-20" centers this year as well as my bursa. Its a real good smoke and I got my original seeds from BigBonner last year.

I got my seed from the seed bank today. 3 barG's and a leverhead. I should get 100% germination with that kind of expertise behind their production. :)

We "water" them with beer, filtered that is. Not the early morning yellow stuff, but the after breakfast clear. (NOT)

Yeah, I understand that urea is not too good for tobacco plants.

I'm glad you caught that! It was directed at Knucklehead. I don't want to lead you astray. It's a nice plant, it didn't drown and it didn't mind dry hot weather. When cured, it mixes with flue-cured to make an interesting cigarette.

i grew OTTOMAN and BURSA last year, to me both plants grow, and look the same,

a very mass producer, and the plant will grow tall if you let it go,

i'd suggest topping it at 6'

med. sized leaves nothing real big, but i found the plant to be a excellent starting bacca, as far as making a bacca mix goes for a cigg.

ottoman, 2 types of burley and some y.t.b.

makes the perfect cigg.
