Pipe Blend Ideas

Heyup, so this year I'm growing Virginia, Maryland and Izmir and as it's my first year growing I only really picked the Virginia because it's used in everything, the Maryland sounded interesting and to be honest the Izmir I just liked the name. I'm air curing the Vir/Maryland and the Izmir is going in the greenhouse for a quasi - sun cure type job.
Has anyone got any blending ratios to try with these 3 tobacco types?

It’s going to be a personal preference that you’ll want to play around with.

I would, personally, go with: 70% Virginia, 20% Izmir, 10% Maryland.

@Havok's suggestion seems like a reasonable place to start, since you will be air-curing your Virginia. Your Virginia won't be the same as the Virginia "used in everything", since that is always flue-cured.

If it’s not too late, you may want to “quasi - sun cure” your Virginia in the same way you plan to do your Izmir. (Instead of air curing it)

Thanks for the suggestions, I've got half a Virginia plant to chop so I'll stick it in the greenhouse and see what the difference is! I'm in the UK so I might get a load of blending tobacco and mix up a load of different batches. Samuel Gawith do a load of different ones of shredded plain straight types I might get a few...
