Took the advice of some members of ftt and rolled puros of all my tobacco. Started smoking them a while back. So far I must say the puro`s are nice, but I prefere the blends.
I know the exercise is to choose the best puro`s and make my blends accordingly. What I will change next time I will "blind" smoke the puro`s. To know what I`m smoking is influencing my judgement. I smoked a Hue Huetenango last night and it was ok, rate it 6/10, Spicy on the tongue, BUT I was very exited about it when I planted it, and was maybe a bit disappointed, not much, I was expecting maybe a bit to much of old Hue. The rest of the puro`s I will blind taste.

It is not so much judging the best one, as it is learning what each leaf brings to the table. With this you can adjust your blends accordingly. The "spice" of the Hue is a good example.
