I have seen no limiation on number of plants if it is not for sale.
When the U.S. Government had the Tobacco Support Program up and running there was a limit of (I think) 1/5 of an acre for individuals. However, when the Government instituted the tobacco buy out program, thus ending support for the tobacco farmer the personal limit was removed. You can grow as much as you want.

lol ok my husband is telling me if i grow tobacco the police will be knocking on our door so i made a bet if they dont i get his shed to use for drying them lol

Heh heh your sure to win that one, I would have upped the stakes. But then he may get scared to take the bet and you would have nowhere to cure your tobacco.

My son pulled it out in the middle of the beach at Sanibel and started peeing(he was 5yrs old), I went running and said son stop! he says why daddy you do it at home all the time very loud. People were just walking around him while he was drilling a hole. Post some pic's of your bacca granny and don't worry bout the coppers they ain't coming.
