I may be waaaaay overthinking this....

I just received an outstanding looking (2nd order ever) order from WTT! I have to say the packaging was perfect, including the way all the leaf is SEALED in their packages. Definitely a nice mil thickness on them as well.

Onto my main question, should I allow the packages to acclimate at room temp (73F/34%RH) from being on the UPS truck? Granted It’s cold and dry out here currently in Wisconsin (snow on ground). With that being said, I noticed that dew point was definitely hit and I had some condensation on the outside of the packages. Should I be concerned about potential condensation inside the pack? My current thought is that as long as I let the leaves acclimate to room temp before trying to open, I should be good.

Other thoughts or opinions?

I agree, generally, with your approach. To avoid condensation within a portion of a closed bag (container), assure that it is warmed to room temp evenly and gradually. A warm area within a closed container will "pump" its humidity toward a cooler area if there is a substantial temperature difference between them.

Excellent point! The age ole “Hot goes to cold & Wet goes to dry”. I’m going to let these beauties acclimate at least overnight before trying to use. They look super good!

WLT shipment came in (a little delayed on my end)! I do have to say, this packaging is TOP NOTCH! Shipment arrived a day early even! The extra thickness on the bags, the seal, the quality look of the leaves appear to be superb quality. One other item to make note of, my first shipment of tobacco (not WLT) I could smell the tobacco once I picked up the box it was shipped in. This means air leaks and potentially dried out leaves. The WLT shipment, fantastic sealed leaf (in case) and no tobacco aroma when I grabbed the box it came in. In addition, I can’t smell any of the tobacco unless I open the bags.

I’m throughly impressed! Not to mention a couple sample filler leaves I’ve been eying up to try for my next order!
