I've not posted on Fairtrade recently, mainly due to time constrains.
However, I've not lost the enthusiasm to grow, and more importantly, to make hybrids.
Below are a few images of 1 Samporis (rajangan type from Bondowoso region, East Java) and 3 CT Broadleaf plants.
I've crossed with orange rubber band Broadleaf x Samporis and blue rubber band Samporis x Broadleaf.
Will make a few more crosses, harvest seeds, and hopefully post some images of F1 later on!

To be fairly honest, my main goal is still to attempt crossing rustica and tabacum.
However, apart from the Mapacho that I grew over a year ago, I haven't been able to raise any rustica into adulthood.
It's been hard to get them out of the seedling stage and develop further.

At the same time still searching for tabacum with relatively short style.
The search continues...

Balikesir and Prilep-66/97 have relatively short styles, but they are still probably more than twice as long as that of N. rustica, as you can see from the side-views.
