Here is a video on how topping is done commercially:

Are you planning to flue cure/sun cure, or just air cure it?
“Effect of topping height and timing on quantity and quality in flue-cured tobacco “

Curing now
error again but learning for next year :)
I did cut 60% of my leaf for curing ( fermenting, that one i will make a box)
they are crusty ( alot of them), i simply hanged them in lot on a rope, temperature about 86 now i lowered to about, and spray them with water frequently.

Should I discard the crusty one and separate 2 by 2 as for the good one.
there was a little fan.

What do you mean by crusty? Is it humid there or dry?

It is a bit dry, but i spray water a few times/day.
I just examine them and some of them the stern still green, and some there is a part of the leaf is still green.
Crusty, meaning that some of them, if i touch them a part of the leaf crack and fall on the ground. I am afraid they''ll fall into dust
they don't get some kind of elastic that we see in some video on the net
Please note that I harvest them early since freeze is very soon

I think that's a bad idea. You need to create conditions with constant temperature and humidity for them. Something like a frame covered with plastic wrap.

This is true. Try to make a smaller environment that you can control. A towel hanging out of a bucket by twine or a clothes hanger will give off more humidity all the time instead of short bursts like spraying water. Also, a bathroom is usually smaller and more humid due to showering, etc. A small closet is good with a towel hanging out up out of a bucket. The water will wick up from the bucket into the towel and moist towel will give off humidity to the air. If you have a small shed with a dirt floor you can wet the dirt floor to raise humidity. If the leaf completely dries green it will not cure, it just stays green.

tks guy I'll try some thing else more stable.
Lucky i am not finish harvesting.
It gets better. It took me three years to be comfortable with the methods that worked with my individual situation. There are several ways to accomplish the same thing "within limits" and the laws of nature.
