I am trying to select a varietal of Virginia tobacco, that has a stronger aroma and a higher Nicotine ideally, to grow for smokeless next season.
Any advice is appreciated

Not sure about the nicotine content of the cherry red I sent you, but you should test that out in a snuff. I was hearing that it had a unique taste to it when smoked, but it would be interesting so see how that translates to a snuff.I'm kind of obsessed with making a High Dry Toast, and just kind of turning it up a few notches. I am just putting together a list of promising Virginia's to experiment with, I have Burleys Rusticas and Orientals to play with already.
There is other stuff in the blend, I want to get something from WLT called FCVirginia/red tops, it has kick ass reviews about the flavor, and there is an Oriental component to the HDT, it calls for a fire cured something, but I'm not shooting for the smokey flavor. I get scotches down the road here that I love the potency of the Nicotine, but I blend mentholated snuffs into it to cut down the smokey flavor. Plus the fire cured not the best for you health wiseWhy not burley? That seems to be the predominate leaf for smokeless products with maybe the exception of snuff. Look at WLT website and see if there is something there that matches your interests and buy some and make a batch to see if it is worth your efforts to grow. Would be interesting. Are you thinking of using it as the only leaf or blended with burley?
nwtseeds.com is skychasers wholesale site with larger quantities. His retail site is northwoodseeds.com and sells in smaller quantities.I'm sending out for:
Costello Negro
Lizard tail Orinaco
Symbol4
White stem Orinaco, all have stronger flavor claimed in sales ad.
And for the Nic Fit:
Goyano
Ostralist
Trabzon2,
All of em' are available at NWTSeeds at the moment, and Skychaser's deal is not even comparable. If he doesn't have something I will try and get it off one of his retailers PERIOD nuff' said! Lol
