Thank you very much guys. I'll share this with the crew in the warehouse. I can't even begin to tell you how few people understand we do the best we can and once we transfer the orders to the shipper, there is nothing we can do except file a claim.
You have been absolutely the best Don. Always sending fast and answering any queries.

I confirm that the delay is caused by the suspension of flights for the covid-19.
Today I got a pipe bought in April in the states, here the tracking history :

This is from the Canada Post tracking site as we all have seen many times.
I wonder if any of the Canadians here have given this info out to receive any duty/payment info and would it speed things up?

I got an email with a link to PAY/Duties but the page doesn't indicate payment options or anything of the sort. It just displays the package tracking page. I was told by CP to wait a few days before trying again.

Last night it gave me the option to pay but I didn't and today I have a pickup slip in the mail.
This order went to Montreal so customs reviewed it and I owe just under $37 CAD, I bought 5 pounds.
The slip said it will be ready for pickup tomorrow by 5 PM but it is there now.
19 days total.
Last order was 13 days but no customs.

I ordered early this month and it finally got logged into MYUS but today I received this email

I apologize for the inconvenience. The trade compliance team reviewed the package and they found that we are unable to ship tobacco to New Zealand with any of our shipping methods.

I apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you.

$$ down the loo......

That's weird.

I didn't send this current shipment through MYUS, just regular post...and I have contacted NZ customs, they claim thiat due to being ordered and shipped prior to the new rules, it will be allowed in (provided it shows this on the package documentation).

Good news mate! Hey do you mean prior to new rules coming into play (as in July 1st) or prior to them being announced?

He didn't specify, but, I assume that he meant that shipments that could be proven to have been ordered prior to the announcement would be allowed in (and, maybe, shipments expected to arrive prior to the deadline should also be allowed in, if significantly held up for an unforeseeable period).

All of my prior orders arrived at customs within a week of initial departure from Whole leaf...

This last order (sent by wholeleaf on 22 May) hasn't even left the US yet...

I don't think this means you can put in a whole bunch of orders now and expect hassle free customs, but those with shipments ordered a month or so ago, which are held up due to lack of freight shipments (flights) from Covid should be ok when they pass through customs.

I would call customs personally about any such order, quoting the shipping number...

Customs can be reached on:

National Contact Center - 0800 428 786 (0800 4 CUSTOMS)
Email - feedback@customs.govt.nz

Thats weird, MyUS has released and shipped a box out for me yesterday the 24th.
They have 1 more of mine which like the previous ones is under review. The delay on this one has been 2 weeks :(
When fedx stopped carrying them I changed back to UPS.
So I guess I wait and see what happens huh.

I had one shipped out this morning via DHL after being under "review" from 21st June to appearing in my suite on 24th June. Took another 24hrs to have them fix the tariff code and went into the queue yesterday. It initially arrived on the 11th of June.

I would also recommend all kiwis do this, the more of us who do, the more likely they are to be lenient with late arrivals.
