Yesterday my cutter finally arrived.
It was rusty and dirty so I did a little renovation. I tried to maintain the patina as well as I could.
Starting point.
Disassembled the cutter and cleaned the parts with steel brush.
Light sanding, light pencil to the markings and treatment with linseed oil varnish.
Sharpened the blades. I changed the sharpening angle from about 70 degs to about 30 degs. I did it with dremel because of the curvature of blades.
I also replaced the broken recoil spring and greased the axle. Works like a dream now. Hex blade was inserted wrong way when the cutter arrived. I turned it and it cuts perfectly now.
Fully assembled. I'm pretty pleased with result.
