I've always been keen on photography, and after a few point and shoot cameras, purchased an SL/R and a few lenses...used this for many years.

Got into digital very early, back when 2MP was state of the art and cost as much as a car; used to shoot friends out racing, and local 'drift' meets. Bumped into an employee of a mag and they asked me to submit some images of an event. I did a small write up too, and from then on, was covering events (including being the official Photographer for D1NZ (drift)) and feature cars (and writing the articles too)...When the editor left, I got the job and was fun for a while...

But, the publishing world is fickle and it's back to just a hobby now...

While this doesn't look like much, this WAS shot with a camera and lens, NOT a telescope, and...Jupiter is a LONG way away...
Galileo’s telescope was 8x. And in one of the world's great coincidences of history, when he looked at Jupiter for the first time through his new telescope, he saw its 4 Galilean moons. What are the chances?
