Strange Colored Tobacco

I've used leaf like this before but didn't think it was a big deal and never bothered to ask.

Anyone know what the black looking stain is on the leaf? It's Criollo 98 Viso but I think I've seen it on other leaf.

Does it have something to do with when it cures or ferments?

Looks like a flap that stayed wetter. The wetter the ferment the darker the leaf to a point I believe. Nexus for mold too, might want to open and air it

That's what I figured. As far as mold goes, it doesn't seem like it should become a problem but yeah, it might be a good idea to give it some air. Thanks
