This is old news but as you know, Phillip Morris acquired Swedish Match in Feb of 2023. With this purchase, do you worry about:
1. The reduction of snus quality in terms of the GothiaTEK standards?
2. The reduction of actual quality of the snus portions/tobacco available on the market?
3. PM sabotaging the snus market in order to sell more NP's and cigs?

I wont get political but I don't trust Phillip Morris in the slightest. They're in the second most addictive business (next to sugar) in the world and they can do anything that they want as long as their product contains nicotine, all they care about is how to maximize profit. Since they are trying to circumvent legislation costs as much as possible, I could see them slashing another tobacco product to push for NP that have less regulation than its tobacco based counter parts. I guess this is why we grow our own tobacco but I was just curious if this ran across anyone else' minds.

Nicotine pouches are garbage? I saw those at the tobacco shop last week and was thinking about trying them.

Absolute crap. They're filled with chemicals and lab made nicotine (nicotine salts) they hit like a freight train, within 30 seconds and the buzz lasts a minute. You feel absolutely awful afterwards, sorta the same feeling when you binged on sugar or had way too much caffeine. That's what I like about snus, snuff, pipes and cigars is that the nic delivery is slow and steady, enough to enjoy and scratch that itch without feeling like garbage. Not to mention they taste terrible and the pouches feel like they're made of printer paper on your gums. Now, if snus were to disappear and there was no alternative: well first I would start making my own out of whole leaf tobacco, and second, I might give these a go but while there are alternatives, I stay away.

Those nicotine pounces are unpleasant and dangerous. The coworker I gave an Aztec rustica cigarette to, returned the favor by letting me have one. 2 minutes in, and the room was spinning and it felt like the top of my head was going to pop. I looked up the brand. Each pouch weighed 0.6 grams, and had a full 50mg of nicotine in it!
80mg is considered a lethal dose.
And as far as commercial tobacco? I wouldn’t even smoke it in the Aztec manner….IMG_9217.jpeg

Snus is illegal in Spain and this is the only alternative. I'll have to make my own snus.

Sad! It looked very convenient to avoid going for a cigarette that often since a problem of nicotine addiction that even Napoleon Hill pointed out in one of his books is that people loss the ability to stay for a long time concentrated doing one thing.

The pouches are good for special circumstances such as all-day jury duty, long flights, etc., where you can't be spitting in a container. Otherwise, I wouldn't use them at all.

And the pouches are legal in Europe.
In Germany they have an odd status, because the government isn’t sure how to tax/regulate them.
They can be purchased online more easily than they can be found in tobacco shops, or kiosks, at least in Germany.
