I just finished my after harvest vacation so I cleaned up the patch today. Pulled up all the old plants, rolled up and stored my drip lines, etc. I'm ready to work in some soil amendments now. It's real high on my To Do list. I'm planning rotten saw dust and sand very soon. When I replow this spring, I'll add some Black Kow composted manure.

Hey really nice blog! A little long but interesting.

Thanks, it doubled as the social event of the year. I usually had on a pot of coffee or some beers on ice and the guys would drop in to chew the fat for awhile. We'll be starting seed in a couple of months and I'll start a new grow blog. I'll make sure to have an extra chair so you can sit around and visit with us.

It's like a small novel. Wait for a rainy day, grab a pot of coffee, and rehash the years events.

There were definitely some ups, downs, and learning experiences. I need to close it out with a list of things I will do differently and not do again.

One thing I've learned in 26 years of keeping bees and 2 year of baccy growing is that there will always ups and downs and every year is a new learning experience and even though the basics might always be the same, there's always room for trying something different. Funny, sometimes you can do something different and it works way better than anything you've tried before but there's always something lurking making you wonder if you can make or do it better.

Knucks, we sure did have the up's and downs this year, but all in all we ended up with some beautiful bacca. It seems to be the same for all the folks here who use the site. I think that means it's fulfilling it's purpose, and we have the added bonus of some great people that I consider my friends.

I couldn't agree more. And thanks for being one of them.
