Hi

I wanted to get the forum’s opinion about this plant. It’s a Japan 8 plant that hasn’t suckered too much and no damage has been done to the plant by me or otherwise.

I was looking at it recently and saw that a sucker has grown from the top, right next to the growth bud, it must have started and been hidden during the plant’s evening prayer.

The only problem is I don’t think I can tell which is which!

Which do you think is the growth tip and which is the sucker I should remove?

How old are they?
If they are about to start budding they can split off and form two seed heads like the photo in the top left of polygons website.

That makes sense. They’re from earlier this grow season — they’ve been planted a few months.

Though this is indoors and I’ve had some pretty slow growing plants that behaved more like a house plant than a crop.

The plant is about 3 and a 1/2 feet tall.
