What is attacking my plants?

I have 6 plants, three varieties, only two monthes old.
for the past few weeks i noticed small patches and dots in the leafs first becoming a translucent white and then brown.
There are almost no fly gnats and only occasional whiteflies , day and night there seems to be no insect on or under my leaves yet more are affected each day, it looks like no picture of disease or insect attack ive seen online, what the hell is it?

Probably not specifically tev because im not in the americas, but after looking at the sources the first replier listed, its a kind of virus for sure, does a virus infection mean a death sentence to my plants?

Most of the common tobacco viruses seem to affect only a few leaves. They are often spread to the plant directly by a visit from aphids or thrips. I've followed many plants with various viruses, and found that usually, I just end up with a small number of disfigured, though entirely smokable leaves, with a plant that continues to produce normal leaf.
