I received this in an email from YouTube this morning, regarding a video that I posted years ago.

We wanted to let you know that our team has reviewed your content and we don't think it's in line with our Community Guidelines. As a result, we've age-restricted the following content:

Video: Cigar Bunching for Short Filler Using a Simple Rolling Mat

My suspicion is that every tobacco related video on their platform may eventually be slapped with YouTube's categorization reserved previously for pornographic content. This may break all our YouTube video links, unless you log-in to their site.

I age-restricted mine from the get go. On the perfectly realistic assumption that if some innocent toddler were to inadvertently stumble upon my vid, she, he, or it might order leaves, roll a stogie, and smoke it, all unknown to their attentive parents, whereby second hand smoke would surely kill the family budgie. Can't have that domino effect on my conscientious conscience.

Mine. I have a couple tobacco related videos.

At least, so far as I know, YouTube is not hijacking the cameras on our laptops and phones to see if we might be using tobacco.

They've been slowly moving through and restricting my 100s of videos for a few weeks now.

They got to my cannabis-themed ones before they started tagging the tobacco ones.
