i was so close to ordering me a pasta shredder,,,,

but i tried a old fashined hand crank meat grinder i had,,,

it's mouth is the size to rest a tennis ball on and it cover 1/6 of the bottom half,,, not very big at all...

[i took the '' blade'' off the grinder just using the slots it would cut meat into,, then shove that thru the blade which would make it come out in '' strings'']

i fed it as i cranked it,,,and be damned if it didnt spit out perfect sized cigg, baccy

i ran it thru twice to see how it would do,,,and with the second pass,,,it was perfect..

the meat grinder i used is just to the right of the t.v. mounted on my entertainment stand,,, in this picture,

My neighbor just now gave me a Guillotine type thing that is for chopping Tobacco
It needs to be assembled and I'm doing that now also but he got it at a giant Swap meet
Up by Packwood Washington from some guy that sells Tobacco seeds when I have it assembled I'll post a picture. OK I got it put together

He bought it for twelve bucks and gave it to me as a gift
wouldn't take any money for it
It has BROT-MAX embossed on the side of it on the handle
The blade has no edge to it
I bet it would work if it had an a sharp edge and I had some bricks of Tobacco.

That curved blade will give more of a slicing action than a chopping action. You're going to get plenty of leverage with that handle too. What a sweet gift!

Here's something similar. A modification to the bed would make it more functional for slicing baccy.

There are much cheaper ones than this one listed. Search Raadvad

that thing looks deadly,,and as if it means business,!!!

i seen something similiar but a lot bigger at our flea-market,,,,

the guy had a lot of antiques,,,he had a $200.00 price tag on it,,,

but it was huge,,, i guess back in the day,,, it was what they cut baccy in the general store with,????

i aqquired a video camera yesterday,,,, i may have to learn how to use it,, and demonstrate the meat grinder in action,

i didnt have high expectations of it working,,,, but when it started spitting out baccy,,finely cut up,,, i was shocked and impressed,

"Brot Max" means "Bread Max" in German.

Bob

that makes since,,, i was stationed in germany,, they dont have thier bread '' sliced'' when bought,,,it's a bread loaf,,,
each german household has a bread slicer,,, just as every american house has a bread toaster,,,

'' I MISS THAT GERMAN BREAD> BEST BREAD IVE EVER EATEN<''
