So far I've had a few good attempts with making a burley casing by adding cocoa powder to water, letting it sit for a few days, shaking it every day, and then using a large syringe to remove the liquid from the top after the cocoa powder has finished settling. There are a few variations of the other ingredients using things like molasses, real maple syrup, brown sugar, etc. When casing burley, I mist the leaves or shredded leaf, place in the oven at 180°F for a few minutes, repeat a few times and jar up.

This stuff was gifted to me not long ago and the giver thought it was hilarious my first thought was to use it on tobacco. For this stuff I made some in an electric percolator, poured into a jar, and left in the refrigerator for a day so the oil would solidify on top. Once everything that needed to settle was settled and oil floating on top I put the liquid into a different jar and added some real maple syrup and a little molasses.

Same process here, misting shredded leaf and drying in the oven at low temperature a few times. After coming out of the oven the last time I misted everything with a mixture of water with a tiny bit of vegetable glycerine and jarred it up. A couple weeks later and a bowl of just burley cased with this stuff is smooth and tasty, although much better as a mixer. On its own it's like a diet codger blend, but with a little bit of Latakia or some sweet Virginia it starts to shine
