Huh, weird, maybe it sold when I was typing the post? Or I was looking at a cached page..

Were the ring gauges correct and circular in the one you handled?

I found this box press mold on Facebook. I can’t find any info on it though. I might scoop it up just in case I or someone else needs one. Who knows, I might be able to talk them down a few more dollars.

Looking forward to learning and rolling my own cigars, I live in a rural area, the only local source of cigars is the liquor store. A decent store cabinet style humidor, but I think I maintain my two Vinodors better.

And I will post pictures.. I am excited. Any recommendations on how to clean the paint? off the surface and maintain the patina. Or also the metal components. I hope the cutter is in fair shape, I will need a reference for what the stop looks like so I can either cast a brass one or something like that..

Personally, and this is just me, I love the patina on the metal. I might rub on some Break Free CLP (Clean, Lube, Protect Mil Spec). You could glue and clamp the wood cracks then sand and finish with food grade butcher block oil. It’s customary to rub in some oil as a maintenance precaution every few years so oiled wood really wouldn’t look out of place and it’s not glossy.
