the contest winner gets the seeds, we know that. How about a plaque or shadow box display of all the postmarks, to be "sold" in a mini-auction with the proceeds being donated to FTT, which made this journey possible.?

This is a great idea DGBAMA although I don’t know what is in the package as far as post marks goes I still think this is a fantastic way of giving back to FTT as long as the forum founders/leaders are ok with this ( asks for permission ) I could take some pics of everything that is left in the package minus seeds and the person with the highest bid buy a certain date could send the donation to FTT and I could send the package in its raw state ether to FTT for mounting in a frame or just send as is to the winner ?,
Is there the interest for this ?.

It was fun and a chance to get new varieties for the cost of postage it should be an annual occurence

Maybe we should just keep them going all year all the time....right round the world to all different members that want to participate...it will be a great way to share seed and keep up on all the latest varieties. .its also a good fair way to share seed around...and good fun just to follow.

Congratulations to everyone, what a fantastic journey this has been, the Chinese Tobacco Whispers package has made it home at long last, it left the UK on the 30[SUP]th[/SUP] November 2013 and returned home on the 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] March 2014 over 3 months in transit around the world, there were times of uncertainty as to whether the package would get home but as you all now know it did and a massive well done to everyone.


Before I go any further I would just like to say a huge thank you to the leaders, founders and admin etc of FTT for all the support and allowing us to run this little bit of fun,

Secondly I would like make an enormous thank you to all the folks that took part in the whispers.
Mad Oshea, grgfinney, FALaholic, DGBAMA, Brown Thumb, Hasse SWE, BenBrand, jekylnz, springheal, Markw and many thanks to all the folks that looked in and helped the whispers thread keep running, I think it’s one of the most viewed on FTT.

And lastly but by no means least a great big thank you to Markw for running The Speed of Seed sweepstake (http://fairtradetobacco.com/threads/3534-The-Speed-of-Seed-Sweepstake) which is now at an end and a winner should be announced soon.

I will be announcing the winner of the Speed of Seed Sweepstake in a few hours. I must say that it was the closest call ever. I just hope that the lucky winner will be able to grow all of these strains out next year. Thanks to Madhouse for starting this off in the first place. And I would like to thank all who have taken part in it and made it a success.

I hope that everyone who has taken part has enjoyed this fun escapade, not to mention gaining some seeds along the way.Lets hope that we can all do it again later in the year.
