Your goal of having specific information in one place is laudable. We've tried. But guiding a forum is an exercise in herding cats. The forum flows most smoothly (most members are happiest) when it is allowed to take its own spontaneous course.
The search function is most specific if you click the search button with no keyword. You are then taken to the advanced search, where a keyword can be searched in just thread titles, or by a specific author, or in a number of useful ways.
We also maintain a "Key Threads" list in: http://fairtradetobacco.com/threads/3868-Key-threads-in-the-FTT-forum

Hey Bob...thank you for the reply!
As a very long time forum user, I understand and know that it's like a strung out spider web...and in any given thread could be the key we're all searching for. As a prior moderator and admin, I also understand the "herding of cats" part! LOL! However, I am by no means trying to force that here! I have used the search feature and do often. The "search" feature is a beneficial part of any forum and is the most useful way to find what one is looking for. But, at times even that can be quiet cumbersome and take days to sift through all of the conversations and happily written jibber jabber! To me though, that's also all part of what we call...a community! On the "search" button, feature...I've seen many a forums die off as the members there scolded anyone for asking a question that had already been answered. Sometimes, that might be needed scolding...but often times its the grandpa's of the site that have a hard time with a newbie coming in and not using common sense, like the "search" feature! Lastly, I am NOT calling you a grandpa or referring to you OR this forum! LOL!!! This place has been one of the "nicest" forums I've seen...you ought to see how ugly other FFL's can get towards each other!
Anyway...with all of that said, I am just looking to pool some of whatever has been already written, scattered throughout this forum...and with the possibility that maybe someone else has not ever commented on such a subject...in the end, helps me determine what I might want to use (and possibly, someone else!).
EDIT: I sure hope that all made sense...it's been a long day for me already! And, it's only about to begin!
