He did -- not unexpected. Naturally, I wasn't too happy about it, but I couldn't blame him, and I knew it was coming. Pretty cold this morning too, but at least I was able to walk him enough to get business done.

At 9:30 AM it's 9 F, the news put the "windchill" at -8 F. It's supposed to get up to a "balmy" 21 F today.

I'm underprivileged, it's 56 F with a calm wind. Turning windy and colder later, with some kind of frozen crap tonight and tomorrow. The ditches will be filled with morons in the morning.

I was in Dallas in a snowstorm. What a pathetic sight, It was good winter driving conditions for me. I had to go and hide from the carnage in the roads. looked like a demolition derby

Has anyone ever tried to use a riding lawn mower as a snow blower? Not with an attachment, just drop the blades and let her rip.
i never tried that but i mulch and bag all the fall leaves then add them to my compost pile. if i turn them mixed with dirt and debree a few times they are ready for the garden and outdoor potted plants by spring.

9F in Northeast Alabama this morning. The record low was 16F in 1961. Single digit temps are pretty rare around here apparently. I had to hold a lighter to the pilot light on my back up gas heater this morning to thaw out the pilot light. It's cold!

Al Bore confidently predicted that by this very Winter the polar ice caps will have entirely disappeared. We were assured this is the unanimous conviction of settled science. There's just a month and a half of Winter left. It ought to be an exciting seven weeks.

My advice: Sell your snow blower now before the market for them takes a dive.

Hey Knucks,
At least it is not raining. Think we only had 4 rain free days in January last year. Lol.
