At about 1 month before your average first frost date, top the outdoor plants, regardless of the presence of blossom buds showing. That will accelerate their maturation.mature before the end of season
I will try that. Thanks. At about 1 month before your average first frost date, top the outdoor plants, regardless of the presence of blossom buds showing. That will accelerate their maturation.

I assume lower temperatures probably slows this process down? September average temp is about 12 to 4°c... would there perhaps be reason to do the topping earlier um thinking... What temperatures do you have the last month? At about 1 month before your average first frost date, top the outdoor plants, regardless of the presence of blossom buds showing. the wind did lots of damage the first weeks after transplant. And i guess it's a bit to cold for tobacco here on average. we have had some warm, sunny days but the standard day is cold grey and windy. These days the temp is 12-15 c and the wind is howling outside. That is quite the difference, Cold and cloudy or is it just the wind?

we try to keep it under 30 c daytime. but it goes down to just a couple of degrees over outside temp at night. That's impressive. What is the temperature inside the tent?
