Didn't happen for me this year.
I put a little red wine, a little sugar into a little bowl with a paper towel then topped off with normal dilution macho left over from transplanting.
Flies can land on the rim or on the paper towel. They walk right through the screens and usually around this time are a major nuisance, this year they can still get in but none last long.
