I used a pencil for size and punched 3-4 openings per cup, careful not to break the styro cup. It worked ok, but nothing as well as BB uses. I needed the constant water wick from the bottom of the cup and needed to move the trailer in and out of the weather. On days with lots of sunshine, I placed a shade cloth over the trailer and removed it on cloudy days.

Do you have a green house that you are putting them into in March?. Young tobacco plants subject to frosts/freezes will die. I'm about 60 miles north of you and I don't plant any tobacco outside until at least May 5th.

As for setting out the commercial growers in southern MA use Memorial day as their target.

I am getting ready to start a couple of germination test trays. Anybody got some "expert" tips on handling
those tiny little suckers that work?
