Hi everyone!
This will be my third year growing and harvesting my own tobacco, and hopefully my first successful year with curing... I have yet to produce an an appealing product.
this year, I have sowed seeds from Greta's and Elena's in Canada, and Northwood seeds from Spokane WA. Paul from NWS provided great service, good prices, and amazing selection, so I would recommend buying from him. I have about 20 different varieties planted this year, but we will see how many I can actually find garden space for...
I am most interested in growing tobacco to make my own cigars, but also chew, snus, pipe, cigs... whole leaf rolling papers...
My first exleriemt is pouring Crilio '98 seeds on hydrated rock wool. I plan to remove them, intact in the wool, but slicing them with a wire or something, and planting the seedling + wool to dirt.
I'll be in hunt for tips on drying, curing, and aging tobacco in an apartment... TIA. Reading this forum had been very helpful already, looking forward to learning more
