That’s my favorite blend pairing. Riunite Lambrusco, WLT Nicaraguan fillers, Ecuador Maduro binder/wrapper, and enjoy the whole thing with my eyes closed and some B.B. That‘s going to turn a bad day into a nice evening every time. <sigh>

Smoked 15 cigars with the exemples in my first post and my verdict so far is that I should dial back to 5 or 4 to experience the different tastes more. With that many different leaves it’s just becomes a bowl of soup, if you know what I mean.

But I really enjoyed this one that was 8 months old. I think the Pennsylvania dominated a little so I would skip that if I were to roll this again.
Filler: pensylvania, piloto L, criollo, corojo, olor, condega
Binder: DR piloto, sumatra
Wrapper: Honduras

You see all these posts of cuban, dominican etc cigars but you really don't see any american ones. What types of tobacco would make a decent american cigar?

Historically, cigars made with American tobacco varieties were composed of broadleaf and seedleaf varieties from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Maryland and Delaware (PA Broadleaf, Lancaster Seedleaf, Wisconsin Seedleaf, etc.) as well as Little Dutch, Dutch Ohio, PA Red, Long Red. Light-colored burley was sometimes used for wrapper. CT Broadleaf and CT Shade (as well as FL Sumatra and Dixie Shade) were "late" comers, not established until the early 20th century.
