Ie the Canadian Leaf can it be dropped shipped? I have always wanted to ask this question. At least it would help out a bit to keep shipping costs down and would equal a better product. Canadian laws state that you must buy from a licensed dealer.

That sounds complicated. I don't know that it would lower the price significantly. I am perfectly happy with the shipping, especially receiving the package at the post office. UPS by the way, is terrible in my area. Things are farmed out to private delivery people who many times don't give a damn, and in my case parcels are left at my always locked gate, in the mud, snow, rain etc. as it is a half mile drive on a rough road from my front gate to my house. Also, This may not mean much, but I would worry about bring attention to those who tax here that we are getting great tobacco at a fraction of the cost and they start changing the rules regarding tobacco as an agricultural product. Just my thoughts.

All I know it is shipped to Ohio then back to Canada. I know US shipping I don't mind waiting for regular parcel post. Because it is just an agricultural product Priority first class mail is the more expensive way to ship.

If it could be done somebody would be doing it, I suspect the reason for it being tied to imports is so that it can be policed at customs. There are some exclusions for natives, mostly for ceremonial tobacco...(the cigs that natives buy on the reserve have less tax on them...but somehow there is still plenty of tax. Natives buying at the store pay almost as much/pack as I would as a non native. But then there is this...I'll add the link with the disclaimer that I don't know how this works, I think you would need a treaty# to order, but there may be some Canadians here that could take advantage of it.

But the order the person might ship stuff from Canada giving wlt the same price. Then the 15kg can be ordered without the delays of the border and be easily taxed per customs giving a Canadian dollar price. The native cigarettes are not the same. Sorry Bob you're not paying an exchange rate. It's getting to be 40%. People's incomes are not rising

Does that mean you can’t go to the farmer and buy tobacco from him? Your laws up there are ridiculous on tobacco. I’ve been trying to find a way to get some export rolling tobacco down here but there is literally no way unless I drive up to Canada, crazy

You have to buy from someone with a tobacco license. I suppose if I lived in Ontario I could buy 3kgs. Then at least you can but in quantity and not have to worry about it. I don't see why you can't. Sales ideas for Canada could be Canadian dollar at par. Free shipping for Canadians are a couple of ideas. I have been emailing get a US address companies if that may be cheaper.

Is there a discount if we buy 700 pounds?
There is but the thing is the shipping to Canada is becoming a 100 dollars US. One thing I have always done is combine the shipping wait to what I order. There are flat rate shipping boxes that are priority. Big last year it was 100 for 12lbs but when doubled the order it was a minimal charge. Something like 110. I saved
