In short ... yes!

This year was a tiny experiment and I ended up with a good crop of Rustica from 10 or so plants + a second sucker crop from each plant too! I also planted out 5 black stalk mammoth plants and they haven't even made it to flowering ... I'm giving them until October and then we'll see what the leaves might be like.

I've learnt so much ... It's been about the worst summer I've ever seen for growing things here in the UK - it pretty much rained for the whole of May & June with almost no sun - so these plants have only been out since July really and given those conditions the whole "growing in the UK" thing looks very likely to be very possible.

Next year I would like to try some other varieties I've already got some Alida seeds from Sweden and I'd like to experiment with some other varieties better suited to colder shorter growing seasons. I'll also pray for some better weather. Maybe 40-50 plants is the goal.

I am planning on a bigger area this year. I have just learnt that i ma legally allowed to have 15Kilos of tobacco, 15Kilos! beyond that they will decide that i am selling it to people, a big no no down here. Zso i plan on getting to 14.99 kg lol

Is that finished or whole leaf? Either way, it should be enough to get you by for a couple of weeks. If you keep it real dry, you could sneak in another 1.5 Kg.

From my interpretation of NZCustoms and internal affairs that is unprocessed leaf But man I wouldnt smoke 15 kilos in a year thats a lot of tobacco for a non commercial growner i reckon

Canada is the same way i read somewhere. 15kilogram of homegrown is the limit. No worries with this years crop lol.

I am thinking it depends on How much you have i read of a guy who sold of 90kgs to some guy and had a massive fine imposed plus they were looking at confiscating property that might have been bought with proceeds from illegal tobacco sales. I think they can impose a custodial sentance if they want to. Its crazy down here you cant even give it away without breaking the law it has to be all for personal use. Though with 50grm of roll your own at $55 NZ i can see more and more people either growing it for them selves or trying to make a buck by selling it.

Well i take it to mean 15 kilo unprocessed leaf per person? But i think as long as your not trying to take money out of the govt pocket they will leave you alone.

this is my 3'rd year of growing,

and ive got bigger with each year.

my first year was not small. but not too big either,

my 2'nd year i added another plot area to my grow,

with my new job, in the fertilizer business,

and the fact i have acess. to a big '' MASSEY FERGUSON'' tractor and a huge harrow, and disc, for the plowing,,

im thinking of extending my kilning abilities, to 4 times what im doing right now,

..and as far as ground area for the crop.

it may be one stretch that is 300+ feet long x 30+ ft. wide,

and a side plot, ''[ shaped like a '' J '' ] that will be p[erhaps 250+ ft' long x 50+ ft. wide,

NEXT YEAR IM GOING BIG,

WITH PERHAPS. 5 MAJOR STRAINS///////

and some experminting,,,,,,with other strains,
