Now that the Tomatoes, Tobacco, and Milpa are in the field, the seedling focus turns to peppers. They are going to take over my back yard in some short rows using a Spanish trellis. This year we are going to try to do some isolation with some agribon to save seeds for some rare varieties that we've started to struggle to find quality seeds for at a reasonable price.

Well, I guess I wasted my money planting apple and pear trees in the yard. The HOA landscapers planted Juniper trees all over the neighborhood and they are full of rust disease which have now infected my trees.

We've had over 3 inches of rain over the past two weeks, and the garden has been loving it. Summer squash, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers etc. doing well. Corn and winter squash have been seeded and have spouted. The shade garden has especially enjoyed the rain. We harvested the garlic over the weekend (half of harvest in this pic) and they are curing in the garage. I made a loaf of garlic bread with a freshly pulled garlic head over the weekend that was delicious!
